Clearing Samsakaras -Your First Big Step Towards Enlightenment

What are your samskaras?Samskaras

Your samskaras are the subtle impressions your actions leave in your deep mind field (subconscious).

You’re constantly creating those subtle impressions, and you carry them with you from one life to the next.

Samskaras govern everything you are now. Another way to put this is that your present state is a direct result of all your past actions -both good and bad.

Your bad samskaras are clouding your awareness, keeping you from enlightenment.

Your good samskaras are propelling you towards enlightenment.

As you clean off your bad samskaras, your perception clears. You become able to experience more of reality.

Samskaras create your thought and behavior patterns, causing you to act or react in specific ways.

Tired of a recurring pattern in your life?

Find and dissolve the samskara underlying it. Then you can create a new, healthier samskara and behavior pattern.

Don’t worry. Clearing samskaras is easy with the right tools.

How samskaras form

You form samskaras through your experiences  –particularly your actions, reactions, words and thoughts.

Notice the ‘you’ in the preceding sentence. You form your samskaras by the way you act and react. No one else forms samskaras for you.

People around you can do evil deeds, but it’s your reaction to their behavior that determines whether a good or bad samskara forms in you.

If you react with kindness, love and mercy, you create a good, helpful samskara in yourself.

When you react in anger, greed or selfishness, a bad samskara forms that will cause you more suffering later.

If you perform an action enough times, under great stress or with pure intent, a behavior pattern results. It can be a good, desirable behavior pattern that helps you and others or it can be a bad, harmful behavior.

How your samskaras work in you

Swami Sivananda says,

“Like forces, Samskaras aid or inhibit one another. When you see a man in serious sickness and when the feeling of mercy arises in your heart, all the Samskaras of your previous merciful actions coalesce together and force you to serve and help that sick man. Similarly, all the Samskaras of charitable actions come forth to the surface of the conscious mind when you see a man in a serious distress and in straitened circumstances and they force you to help this man. You begin to share with him your physical possessions.

When one Samskara or virtuous action comes into play, another Samskara of dissimilar nature may emerge out and come in the way of its fulfilment. This is fight between a virtuous and a vicious Samskara.

When you try to fix your mind on God and think of purity, just at that moment, all evil thoughts and Samskaras burst forth with violence and vengeance to fight against you. This is termed ‘crowding of Samskaras’. Good Samskaras also crowd together and help you to drive out evil Samskaras. The father of Sri Swami Advaitanandaji was a great Bhakta of Chandi. At the time of his death, he was semi-conscious. He began to repeat all the Slokas of Chandi-Stotra which he had got by heart while he was young. This is ‘crowding of spiritual Samskaras’.”

Removing your samskaras fast

All your samskaras will eventually disappear if you meditate in Samadhi. Emptiness and pure awareness dissolve everything away.

You can get help removing your samskaras if you want to realize Samadhi faster.

Just receive energies like Amrita, Deeksha or Shaktipat that dissolve the negative energies inside you very quickly.

Try to find a practitioner who has experienced ego death in emptiness to receive from.

And if you can find that very rare teacher who has attained freedom from attachments and revulsions, that’s the best person to receive energy from.
